What do you like best?
The ease of the query setup in Sheets is awesome. Pick data source, pick dates, pick dimensions and metrics. Connecting directly to Google Data Studio is also super handy and cuts out the annoying middle steps of having to export to a spreadsheet.
What do you dislike?
I’ve run into a few technical issues along the way. All have ultimately been resolved, but it can be frustrating when I’m just trying to get something done quickly. For example, I was logged into two Google accounts simultaneously (which… doesn’t everyone?) and the Dataslayer Sheets connector wouldn’t work until I logged out of all my Google accounts and then logged back in with just the one my account is connected to. Not that big of a deal, but it means having to logging back into a whole bunch of other sites afterward.

What do you like best?
We loved being able to quickly dig deeper into our advertising platform than ever before – combining dimensions and platforms that we normally couldn’t process easily allowed us to save time on writing our own slower implementation that would’ve required external development support.
What do you dislike?
Our initial hurdles with the platform required some trial and error, especially with the Google Sheets add-on – but the frequent updates often fix our issues quickly.

What do you like best?
Being a former Supermetrics user, I wanted to have the whole user interface I was used to, and Dataslayer provided me with this. Furthermore, Dataslayer allows us to add any amount of users to our main account so we can share with our whole team and this is just amazing. The price is fair and affordable for small, medium and big agencies and marketing professionals. Finally, the people who work at Dataslayer are so nice and they always help me when I need them.
What do you dislike?
The Dataslayer queries sheet is not editable, so it means that even if we need to make a few adjustments to queries, we need to open the launcher and edit it inside it.
What the Interwebs Say
Users are quite happy with Dataslayer’s performance as it has been given the following scores: 9 for ease of use, 9.2 for quality of support, and 8.7 for ease of setup. It has helped many marketers quickly dig deeper into their advertising platform by combining dimensions and platforms that normally couldn’t process easily. A common issue with Dataslayer is the trial and error a user has to do before being able to master the art of navigating the application. Likewise, Dataslayer’s query sheet is not editable and requires one to open the launcher before making changes.
